The laboratory aims to build sustainable capacity in terms of infrastructure and collaborative research relationships with local education and community partners in Singapore.

HISTORIC Facilities and Moving forward

A joint laboratory space was created in 2013 at Republic Polytechnic to facilitate research based learning opportunities for students and enable further engagement to be developed with stakeholders.  Since then, as RP and JCU further developed their research capacities, the joint space has ceased to exist. The two institutions continue to work together in different areas through the Tropical Futures Institute at JCU https://www.jcu.edu.sg/tfi/tropical-futures-institute/collaborations.
